RESEARCH ASSISTANT
Over the course of my PhD I worked as a research assistant for five academics (Prof Amanda Barnier, Dr Karola Stotz, Dr David Kaplan, Dr Nicholas Bullot, and A/Prof Richard Menary) in two different departments (Cognitive Science and Philosophy)
January 2105 – September 2016
As a Research Assistant for Dr Karola Stotz (Philosophy) I worked as a website developer and build Dr Stotz's new homepage [http://www.karolastotz.com/]. I also assisted Dr Stotz with her Templeton World Charity Foundation project entitled: “Causal Foundations of Biological Information”. (value approximately $1200000.00)
July – December 2015
As a Research Assistant for Prof Amanda Barnier I assisted to the preparation of testing protocols and ethics applications and recruited subjects for testing. I was also part of an international team that developed a 3-year study of cognitive and other correlates of hypnotisability. Team members included: E/Prof Max Coltheart [Macquarie], Prof Zoltan Dienes [Sussex], Prof Jean-Roch Laurence [Concordia], Prof Etzel Cardena [Lund] and Prof Erik Woody [Waterloo]).
August 2014 – December 2015
As a Research Assistant for Dr David Kaplan (Cognitive Science) I developed two new 300 level units (COGS 301 and COGS 399) for the undergraduate major in Cognitive Science. COGS 301 focuses on significant problems in cutting-edge cognitive science. COGS 399 synthetizes knowledge and practical skills acquired throughout the major. The project was financed by a Macquarie Enhancement Program Grant ($25,000.00)
January 2014 – March 2015
As a Research Assistant for Dr Nicolas Bullot (Cognitive Science) I worked on a project that involved research on the links between culture and cognition.
November – December 2013
As a Research Assistant for A/Prof Richard Menary (Philosophy) I worked on a project that involved research on culture and plasticity.
