About meI am an Associate Professor of Philosophy and Computer Science and Head of the Human-Machine Interaction Lab in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Innopolis University. I am a Research Fellow (2023-) in the Center for Artificial Intelligence at Innopolis University, an Expert Member of the UNESCO Inclusive Policy Lab (2020-), and a contributing member of the Astana Club (2021-). I am also a Professional Member of the Association for Computing Machinery (2022-).
I was (2023-2021) a Member of the Lab for Industrializing Software Production (LIPS) in the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering at Innopolis University, a Member of Task Force 1 on Global Health and Covid 19 at G20, 2021, a Senior Research Fellow (2021-2018) at Saint Petersburg State University, an Assistant Professor of Philosophy (2022-2020) at Innopolis University and at Nazarbayev University (2020-2019), a Honorary Research Fellow (2021-2019) and a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow (2019-2016) at King's College London (under David Papineau). I was also a visiting researcher at The Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) in Baku (2022) and a visiting scholar (2017) at the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Moscow. I pursued my Doctoral Studies in the Department of Cognitive Science at Macquarie University (Sydney) under the supervision of John Sutton (primary supervisor), Richard Menary, and David Kaplan. My PhD was awarded with no corrections on February 25, 2016 (Examiners: Peter Godfrey-Smith; Michael Anderson; Brian Keeley). I also hold an MPhil in Philosophy of Mind from the University of Edinburgh where I was supervised by Andy Clark, Julian Kiverstein, and Tillmann Vierkant, an MRes in Logic and Philosophy of Science and a BA in Philosophy from the University of Milan (Erasmus at UvA Amsterdam) - where I was supervised by Corrado Sinigaglia and Giulio Giorello. During my PhD I was visiting fellow (2014) at Aarhus University (under Andreas Roepstorff), and at The Center for Mind, Brain, Behaviour, and Cognitive Evolution - Ruhr University Bochum - (under Tobias Schlicht).
